Do you remember vinyl records? Whether you do or don’t, they are making a comeback! And who is responsible for this resurgence of yesterdays technology? Millennials are!
According to a report in the Guardian, a British newspaper, 2017 marked the 9th year in a row that vinyl sales were up. There are a few reasons why this is so, but it appears one of the main reasons younger people are buying vinyl records is because of the “warmth” associated with them. Vinyl records feel more “authentic.” The imperfections in the record itself makes the sound more relatable and more human.
It’s important to note that the human voice is analog in nature, so analog records can recreate the music the way artists intended them to sound. With all the processed, computerized music being put out today, listening to a vinyl record might actually be a nice break once in a while!
