3-star recruit, Cooper Dawson a defensive end/tight end from Hanahan, South Carolina, had made his decision on where to attend college. A press conference was call to make the announcement. But Dawson had other ideas on the announcement.
Dawson brought his friend Kingsley Feinman, who has cerebral palsy, to the event with him. Dawson and Feinman became close friends when Dawson tore his ACL and Feinman was there to offer encouragement to him through his rehab process.
Feinman was also there for Dawson through the whole recruitment process. “He’s an inspiration to me,” said Dawson. So when time came to announce his decision, Dawson leaned over to Feinman and whispered his choice in Feinman’s ear. “He’s going to Syracuse!” Feinman exclaimed. What a wonderful gesture from two fine young men! Best wishes to both of them as Dawson begins his football career at Syracuse University!
