Township 5 in Camillus has revealed that it has landed a very large new tenant to call the plaza home. Upstate Medical University plans to build a new 25,528 square foot medical center next to the Movie Tavern.
According to officials, The medical building will house offices for different specialties. The new center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2019. Among the practices that will eventually called the medical center home will be family medicine, cardiology, general surgery, pain medicine, neurology, orthopedics, urology, and psychiatry.
Vice President for Hospital Affairs at Upstate Medical University, Dr. Robert Corona, said the medical center will be a full service center. Initially, the facility will open with nine physicians, with further growth down the road. Township 5 continues to grow since it opened in 2014. This new announcement will certainly add to the prestige of the facility!
