What was in that candy again? Well, it’s seems like two employees ate some candy left behind by some tourists and got quite a reaction! The candy, which resembled malted milk balls, were laced with marijuana!
The two employees worked for a popular resort in Vermont called the Inn at Shelburne Farms. Shelburne Police were called to the inn after one of the employees fell ill and collapsed in the parking lot. Both employees were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
Management at the inn said they have a policy that employees are not to eat any food left behind by guests when they leave. This incident probably illustrates why!! They stated that the policy will be reviewed again with all employees. The guests who left the candy behind were not charged. Vermont will legalize recreational marijuana starting July 1st.
