Syracuse’s Glazed and Confused Doughnut Shop was mentioned in a recent edition of USA Today. The reason for the “shout out” was because their breakfast doughnut creation, the Donini, made the newspaper’s list of Top 10 “unbelievable doughnut creations” in the country!
The sandwich consists of two cake doughnuts which are pressed and grilled like a panini sandwich. Two varieties are offered. The first is the “3 Cheese” where cheddar, muenster, and provolone cheeses are used as the filling, and the “Wake Me Up Before You Go” which consists of candied bacon, a fried egg, melted cheddar and smoked gouda cheeses, maple glaze, served with a side of real maple syrup. Yum!
Owner Paul Valenti was proud and humbled by the recognition his sandwich received. “I’m extremely humbled,” Paul said. “It’s so amazing to see Syracuse and our customers support us.” Glazed and Confused opened last fall at 211 North Clinton Street in Downtown Syracuse. Congratulations, Paul!
