Jennifer Lawrence is recounting a scary experience she had while flying.

The Die My Love actress, 35, appeared as a guest on Wednesday's (November 5) episode of the Las Culturistas podcast for a wide-ranging chat with hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, from dealing with ghosts in New Orleans to her hypothesis that Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Simpson are the modern-day Boleyn sisters.

During their conversation, Lawrence shared that she has "been really good with flying lately" compared to her past fear of air travel before she explained how she was once on a flight where the airplane experienced "double engine failure." She recalled traveling with a family friend in 2016 when their plane had to make an emergency landing after one engine "went out."

Her friend was "being really strong" and trying to joke around and reassure her that "everything's okay because you can still hear the other engine," and that they're only really in for some trouble when the plane "goes silent." Unfortunately, that's exactly when things took an even scarier turn.

"As soon as he said that, I knew it would happen. And then it went silent," she said. "Then I was like, 'The other engine went out, Robbie, the other engine went out!' And he just slowly turned away from me and was like, 'I know it did,' and like looked out the window and then I was like on my own."

Lawrence said that everyone on the flight, from her and her friend to the pilots and crew, thought they were "going to die" and were even leaving messages for friends before the eventually made a hard landing on the ground.

"And then the fireman broke open the door and then all of us just started hugging and sobbing," she said.
