Grace VanderWaal's Shawn Mendes 'In My Blood' Cover Is Unreal Gorgeous

Grace VanderWaal stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to play her new single, "Clearly," and also treated listeners to a unicorn magic level cover of Shawn Mendes' "In My Blood."

The 14-year-old recording artist chatted about a moment between her and Shawn that recently happened at Sunday's 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

Right before Ariana Grande was about to perform, Grace started to cry because she's such a huge Ariana fan and at that exact same moment, Shawn glanced back to say hello.

"And I saw the look of realization on [Shawn's] face..." Grace told Elvis Duran. "He thought I was having a mental breakdown."

Shawn Mendes called into Elvis Duran and the Morning Show later in the morning to celebrate the debut of his new self-titled album and Elvis Duran played a clip of Grace's amazing cover for him.

"I saw her the other day. She is special. I mean that with so much honesty. When I say special, I mean that she's truly special cause she knows what she wants and she knows what she wants to make musically. It has taken me until 19-years-old to figure that out," Shawn said about Grace's amazing music and the incredible level of poise and maturity she has for her young age. He later continued "I think she's going to be super, super big one day."
