Sales of smart home devices like Alexa and Google are booming! 39 million Americans now own a smart speaker. So this begs the question: what are people actually using this devices for? Well thanks to a survey by Venture Beat, we now know!
1,000 people were surveyed. 75% said they used their smart speaker to, are you ready, listen to music! I kind of guessed that anyway. Other uses were to check the weather, getting information, and setting the correct time. No head scratchers there, right?
Finally, 43% of respondents said they used their smart assistant to make an online purchase. Interestingly enough, 53% used their speaker to order a food delivery. Well there you have it. The answer to the question: “What do you use your smart speaker for?”
