MySpace, In A Server Migration, Loses An Estimated 50 Million Songs!

In a major “oops” by the social media site, MySpace, it appears that the company has “lost” all music uploaded to its site from 2003 to 2015! That accounts for roughly 50 million songs by an estimated 14 million artists.

MySpace was in the process of a server migration when the songs were permanently erased! MySpace began notifying artists that their songs uploaded from that time period were now gone and could not be recovered

MySpace said that they were sorry for the “inconvenience” they caused the artists and suggested that they back up any copies they may have. Unless, of course, the only copies you had were on MySpace. In that case, you were out of luck!
