Hockey Puck Comes Oh So Close To Analyst Pierre McGuire's Head!

Hockey is a tough, brutal game. There is plenty of pushing, shoving, and oh yes, fighting! A hockey puck can weigh 6 ounces of hard rubber and can travel at 100 miles per hour during a game. So getting hit by one can really, uhh, hurt!

During a recent game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Tampa Bay Lightening, NBC hockey color commentator Pierre McGuire was behind the Blue Jackets’ bench doing his “Inside the Glass” segment. He may want to rethink that position after what happened next.

As he was reporting, a hockey puck came VERY close to his head at a very fast speed! Fortunately, he did not take the puck to his noggin, but the cameraman’s camera was not so lucky! The cameraman did a good job of staying focused as the puck bounced off the piece of equipment. Check out the snippet below to see the close call.
