Live television can lead to some very interesting moments! NFL sideline reporter Melissa Stark can attest to that after getting hit in the head with a football while doing a live segment before the Tennessee Titans/Los Angeles Chargers game this past Sunday. The game was being played in Wembley Stadium in London, England.
As Stark was doing her reporting, a football appeared out of nowhere and plunked her in the head. Ever the pro, Stark continued with her segment after telling the audience “Oh, okay, nothing like live television - I’m okay!”
As Stark continued on with her reporting, more footballs began heading her way! At that point, she decided to wrap up her segment. Later Stark tweeted, “Literally NEVER happened in 20 years covering NFL...London, I’ll never forget you!” Spoken like a true professional!
