Somebody needs to go back to school to learn how to spell, or they need a better proofreader! The Ohio Department of Transportation is putting the blame for an embarrassing misspelling on the contractor who made the sign.
The highway sign used to direct drivers to Cincinnati was incorrectly spelled as “Cinicinnati.” The sign is used to direct drivers to the Interstate 71 ramp at 17th Avenue in Columbus.
The highway department has ordered a replacement from the contractor, but it will take up to two months to receive the new sign! Until then, drivers will be directed to “Cinicinnati” instead of Cincinnati. Hey wait, Ohio Department of Transportation, Did your workers hang the sign that was spelled wrong? Interesting!
