Oops! Looks Like We Had A Little Accident!

Unfortunately, there won’t be any do overs here! A Milford, Connecticut house was being raised onto pilings to prevent it from sustaining further damage when the opposite happened: the house slipped off the machinery being used to raise it completely destroying the home.

The Schettino family, who owned the house, wanted to raise the house onto some pilings to prevent further storm damage, as it had been damaged previously by Hurricanes Sandy and Irene.

The construction crew was attempting to raise the house onto to concrete pilings when the home slipped off the machinery and crashed onto its side. Unfortunately, for the Schettino family, local authorities deemed the house unsafe to live in and had it completely destroyed after the accident.
