Recently, A small piece of history turned up on a beach in France. In the fall of 2012, Hurricane Sandy devastated New Jersey. A “for sale” sign put up on a riverfront home in Brielle, NJ, by the firm Diane Turton, Realtors, was discovered by Hannes Frank on a beach in Bordeaux, France, 3,600 miles away and six years later.
Perry Beneduce, the firm’s marketing director, examined the metadata on the photo sent to the company by Frank and confirmed that the photo was indeed taken in France. The realty company posted a photo of the sign to their Facebook page along with the caption that the sign, found on the French beach, proved that Diane Turton, Realtors were truly “a global real estate company.”
By the way, for those who are interested, the 2,500-square-foot home where the sign was originally posted sold in May 2013.
