Andrew Hill, an Australian paddle-boarder, was “catching a wave” off the coast of Gracetown, West Australia, when he had a unique experience. He unknowingly came into contact with a group of nine dolphins who were also frolicking on the same wave. Well, Hill was in for a funny surprise!
As the wave gathered steam, one of the dolphins leapt out of the water and crashed into Hill sending him sprawling off his board! The moment was captured on film by photographer Lucas Englert and was posted to his “lubricatedsurf” Instagram account.
Hill, for his part, is a rugby player and was not injured. In fact, he was pretty impressed with the dolphin’s hit on him. Said Hill of the dolphin, “Hats off to him. He collected me really well.” Collected? Must be a rugby term.
