Amazon released a narrowed list of prospective homes for its second headquarters campus today, and St. Louis did not make the cut.
Last year, when Amazon announced plans to build a $5 billion headquarters that will employ around 50,000 people, St. Louis put together an incentivized request package along with 273 other cities. Included in the 20 remaining contenders are Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Philadelphia, and New York.
Amazon said that all proposals showed an extreme amount of “enthusiasm and creativity” this morning. Soon afterward, St. Louis development officials released their proposal to Amazon, which can be seen here.
