Admission tickets for the Great New York State Fair are now on sale, with the event set to begin on Wednesday (August 20) at the fairgrounds in Syracuse. Tickets cost $8 and include access to all entertainment and the Chevrolet Music Series. Admission is free for seniors aged 65 and older and children 12 and under.
Tickets can be purchased online through the Fair’s official ticket seller, Etix, or by calling their toll-free number. There will be no cash sales at the entrance gates or parking lots, but self-service kiosks and QR codes will be available for easy ticket purchasing. Parking costs $12.41 per vehicle, and drivers are encouraged to buy parking tickets in advance for smoother entry.
For those planning to attend multiple times, a Frequent Fairgoer pass is available online starting at $25.70, allowing for multiple entries. According to the New York State Fair's website, this pass also incurs a small ticket fee and credit card processing fee.
Tickets for the Fair's Midway, operated by Wade Shows, will be available in the coming weeks. For updates, visitors are advised to follow the Fair's social media pages and website. LocalSYR notes that cash-to-card machines will be available at the Main Gate for those needing to convert cash.
