Daughtry will step in for 3 Doors Down as the opening act for Creed's concert on July 11 at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater in Syracuse, New York. The change comes after Three Doors Down's lead singer, Brad Arnold, announced he is undergoing treatment for stage 4 kidney cancer, which has spread to his lungs. Arnold shared his diagnosis on May 7, expressing his faith and lack of fear despite the serious health challenge.
Daughtry, led by American Idol star Chris Daughtry , is known for hits like "Home," "Over You," and "No Surprise." The band announced their participation in the tour via Instagram, expressing their support for Arnold and commitment to honor his legacy on stage.
Creed will headline the event, with Mammoth WVH also performing. The Syracuse concert is the only New York stop on Creed's 2025 tour. Tickets are available through various outlets, including Live Nation, which is offering a limited number of $30 tickets as part of their summer sale.
Arnold, 46, is one of the founding members of Three Doors Down, known for songs like "Kryptonite" and "Here Without You." He has asked fans for their prayers and support during his treatment. According to the National Cancer Institute, clear cell renal carcinoma, the type of cancer Arnold has, is the most common form of kidney cancer in adults and can be treated with surgery, immunotherapy, and other targeted therapies.
