Syracuse Hancock International Airport is bracing for one of the busiest travel periods of the year. From Friday, November 22nd, through Tuesday, December 3rd, the airport is expecting approximately 50,000 departing passengers, according to the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA). This figure is roughly the same as last year's passenger count during the same period.

The airport is well-prepared for the surge in travelers, with staff on hand to assist with any questions or concerns. Travelers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure, particularly during the busy departure banks of 4:00 am – 6:00 am, 10:00 am – noon, and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, as per the SRAA's holiday travel tips.

The busiest travel days at Syracuse Hancock International Airport are expected to be Saturday, November 30th, Sunday, December 1st, and Monday, December 2nd. On each of these days, between 10,500 and 11,500 passengers are expected to pass through the airport on departing or arriving flights.

SRAA Executive Director Jason Terreri said, "The SRAA and our airport partners are eager to welcome holiday travelers to our growing airport. Thanksgiving travelers will notice quite a bit of construction throughout the terminal. We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure the progress our team is making on these important projects continues while seamlessly providing a top-notch airport customer experience for our passengers."
