This year, The United States Presidential Election happens on Tuesday, November 3rd, and is one of the most important elections in history. President Donald Trump (R) is running for re-election against Joe Biden (D).

Your vote matters. That is why we have compiled this list of resources to help you successfully vote in the upcoming election.

Voting on Election Day

The election will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd. In order to vote in the election, you will need to register to vote. To register to vote, click here. The deadline to register to vote in New York State is October 9th.

Depending on what county you live in, there are specific polling places for you to vote at. These polling sites are designated by the Board of Elections. Per New York State Election Law, you will receive a letter in the mail with your election district number and polling site information.

In-Person Early Voting

For the November 3rd election, New York State voters can vote early starting October 24th and runs through November 1st. Depending on the county you live in, there are a few polling sites open for early voting. See below.

Absentee Ballots

All registered voters can request an absentee ballot if they are concerned with Covid-19. Absentee ballots must be signed and returned in the mail or dropped off at your County Board of Elections Office or a polling site during Early Voting or on Election day. For more information on absentee ballots, find the county you live in below. October 27th is the last day you can request an absentee ballot online, via fax or email. November 2, 2020 is the last day to request an absentee ballot in-person.
