Alan Tripp and Marvin Weisbrod are just two average men enjoying their golden years in a retirement community. Alan loves to write poetry. One day after writing a poem about growing old and losing friends, his fellow neighbor, Marvin, was so inspired by the poem that he set it to music and presented it to Alan as a surprise birthday gift. Alan loved it!
Soon Marvin received more poems from Alan. He continued to set them to music until they had eight beautiful songs. The two men were able to record the song and create an album called, “Senior Song Book.”
While that’s all interesting, it’s not the end of the story. You see Alan is 102 years old and Marvin is 88 years old! Even more amazing is that Alan was the producer of the album while Marvin organized the jazz band and played piano on all eight songs! Neither man has ever been in the music business, but they are having the time of their lives!
Congratulations to these two fine gentlemen on their foray into the music business. Their CD is already sold out, but the music can still be downloaded for $9.99 at cdbaby.com.
