Taylor Swift Takes Us To Her 'Christmas Tree Farm' In Nostalgic Music Video

Taylor Swift just released a festive new song just in time for Christmas!

At midnight on Thursday (December 5), the 29-year-old marked the premiere of a holiday ditty called “Christmas Tree Farm.” As any Swiftie knows, the singer-songwriter was raised on Pine Ridge Farm in Reading, Pennsylvania, where her parents would often take the youngster and her little brother, Austin, as part of their family tradition. Swift also debuted the music video for her new Christmas song, which also includes home videos of the superstar from her childhood memories on the farm property.

“In my heart isa Christmas tree farm/ Where the people would come/ To dance under sparkling lights/ Bundled up in their mittens and coats/ And the cider would flow/ And I just wanna be there tonight,” Swift sings in the verse over ringing jingle bells and a fun festive beat.

Swift’s marketing team, Taylor Nation, confirmed “Christmas Tree Song” on Good Morning America via Twitter just hours before it premiered. What’s more, Rolling Stone reports the superstar wrote and recorded the record within just five day’s time. “When in doubt, ask the itty bitty pretty kitty committee. When they shun you with silence, ambivalence, and judgmental brush offs… just put the song out anyway,” Swift teased in a video announcement. “NEW XMAS SONG AND VIDEO (made from home videos) OUT TONIGHT."

"Christmas Tree Farm" marks the first Christmas tune we’ve received from the Grammy-winning star since she delivered The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection EP in 2007.
