Billie Eilish Makes Her Directorial Debut With Sedated 'Xanny' Video: Watch

Billie Eilish is a woman of her word, and on Thursday (December 5) dropped her "xanny" video, which she promised fans would come out before the year's end.

While visuals are an integral part of the 17-year-old's art, this clip is especially important as it marks her directorial debut. Like the song, the video is sedated — starring the young pop star seated on an off-white bench, in an off-white room, wear an off-white sweater and pants. Her hair is even muted to a purplish gray from the black and green she's been sporting lately. Though a little more tame than other visuals we've seen from Eilish, there's still a shock factor as arms reach out and burn her face with cigarettes during the song's chorus.

“I’m very excited to share my directorial debut. Visuals are so important to me, and I’m very proud to be in a place where I can present my creative vision exactly as I want it," Eilish said about the video. "Thank you to everyone who has put their trust in me.”

Eilish is heading back on the road next year and is encouraging fans to help fight the climate crisis by offering free concert tickets to those who get involved with Global Citizen. She's set to perform at the Los Angeles stop of iHeartRadio's 2019 Jingle Ball tour in December and ALTerEgo in January before embarking on her WHERE DO WE GO? tour in March 2020. Tickets to the tour are available now.
