On Tuesday, the City of Syracuse unveiled a city-wide “Road Ratings Map” that outlines the condition of every road in the city. Mayor Ben Walsh hopes that the map will give city officials a better handle on how to prioritize road repairs. It will also help citizens by allowing them to add their input on the condition of a road.
The map shows that the roads in the city are pretty evenly split between excellent or good and fair or poor. 50.72% of roads on the city are in good to excellent shape while 50% of the roads are in fair to poor shape.
