With November already 5 days old, another sign that winter will soon be upon us happened just a few days ago. The annual speed limit change along Onondaga Lake Parkway has already taken place!
Starting with November 1st and running until April 1st, the speed limit along the Parkway decreases from 55 mph to 45 mph. The decrease is due to the fact that the highway is subjected to wind and blowing snow off Onondaga Lake that can make driving treacherous during the winter months.
So as you drive down the Parkway now, please remember that the speed limit has been reduced. It’s done for your safety and the safety of all drivers who use the highway!
