Kelly Clarkson Has An Idea For Taylor Swift And Her Song Rights Dispute

Kelly Clarkson has a suggestion for Taylor Swift after the latter had her song rights purchased by music manager Scooter Braun: re-record all her old music that she doesn’t have the rights to. Clarkson also said that she would purchase the new albums just to make a point!

Swift’s old record company, Big Machine Label Group, was purchased by Braun a few weeks ago for $300 million. Swift was angry by the purchase because she said she tried to purchase the rights to her songs but was ignored by her former record company. Swift signed with Big Machine in 2005 and was with them through her “Reputation” album. She recently signed with Universal Music Group.

Clarkson’s idea stems from the fact that if Swift re-recorded all her music, her fans could purchase the new albums thus preventing Braun from profiting from Swift’s old music. Interesting! There had been no word from Swift or her representatives on Clarkson’s idea, but it is a novel idea right?
