Can You Guess The Nine Items On McDonald's Original Menu in 1940?

I was waiting in line to get a fast lunch at McDonald’s the other day (I must admit I’m a sucker for those delicious French fries,) when I was trying to decide what to order with my fries. McDonald’s menu has grown over the years with new items that it actually takes me a few minutes to decide what to get.

As usual, this got me thinking. I was asking myself, besides a hamburger and French fries, I wonder what McDonald’s first menu actually contained! Well of course I had to investigate the answer. Now before you read the next paragraph, you may want to formulate in your head what the original menu contained! If not, quickly proceed to read on now!

McDonald’s original menu consisted of nine items in 1940 when the McDonald brothers started their business (they later sold their business to Ray Kroc who began to expand the business via franchises.) Here are the nine items: hamburger, cheeseburger, fries, Coke, a thick milk shake, a full-flavored orange drink, root beer, coffee, and milk. There you have it! How many did you get right?
