Netflix Drops Miley Cyrus/Ashley O's 'On A Roll' Music Video

Miley Cyrus' portrayal of pop star Ashley O, the subject of one of Netflix's new episodes of Black Mirror, has expanded as the series released the music video for her song, "On A Roll."

As seen in the new episode titled "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too," Ashley O offers up choreography and smiles as she sings the empowering pop tune in a tight white ensemble with her signature purple wig. "Yeah-woah-oh, I'm on a roll/ Ridin' so high, achieving my goals/ I’m stoked on ambition and verve/ I’m gonna get what I deserve/ So full of ambition and verve/ I'm gonna get what I deserve," she chants during the hook and post-hook. To push the release of "On A Roll," Ashley O shared a statement about the song, saying, "It's really important for people to feel like they’re in control of their own destiny, and that means having the confidence to be who you want to be."

When it came down to talk about her creative process, the pop star said that most of her songs are actually written in her dreams. "They're kind of there in my mind while I’m sleeping, so when I wake up I have to really quickly write it down because I don’t want it to just disappear," she confessed. Meanwhile, her longtime manager/aunt Chatherine Ortiz said that the song is based off of the pop star's real life experience. "The lyrics are so true. Ashley has worked very hard, and now she’s going to get what she deserves," she said in a press release.

"On A Roll" is the counterpart project to the pop star's Ashley Too release, the intelligent companion doll based on the pop star's actual personality. Scroll on below to get a double dose of Ashley O!
