Rudy’s, a very popular lakeside eatery in Oswego, is dealing with flooding issues again. The water levels along the shore may start to cause some problems with parts of his eating areas again this year.
General Manager Jason Livesey is concerned because $12,000 worth of repair work they did after last year’s flooding has already been wiped out. He is also concerned because he sees some erosion happening in the area of the restaurant.
Many blame the the changes made to the water regulation plan by the International Joint Commission as the cause of the problems. Local congressman have been trying to get that commission to take action before more flooding and erosion occur. Let’s hope that all involved can come to a satisfactory consensus on what to do before businesses such as Rudy’s suffer more damage.
