So Which Decade Had The Most Memorable Music? Read On To Find Out!

So...which decade was the best for music? Fans of all music genres have had this discussion many times over and over again. Was it the 60’s? How about the 70’s? 80’s? Maybe it’s today’s music. Fans can pick and choose songs to make their case.

Well it appears that science may have provided an answer for this long running question. A New York University study quizzed 643 subjects between the ages of 18-25 their knowledge of music over the last 50 years, and it appears that fans of the 1960’s music have much to celebrate!

The study showed that songs from that time period were much more memorable than songs from any other decade! One of the most memorable songs from that decade was Percy Sledge’s “When A Man Loves A Woman.” It appears that even millennials recognize and listen to songs from that time period. So maybe this study puts an end to the debate, right? I doubt it!
