Are You Ready For A Chilly St. Patrick's Day Parade? Bundle Up And Have Fun

Tomorrow is the 37th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Syracuse. The parade will kick off at noon. The Co-Grand Marshall’s will be former state assemblyman Bernie Mahoney and his daughter, former Onondaga County Executive, Joanie Mahoney. If you plan on going, get there early to avoid the traffic.

You also better get your heavier green winter coats out cause it will be chilly! According to Newschannel 9 meteorologist John DePasquale, the high temperature will be around 36 degrees with gusty winds that will produce a wind chill in the teens and 20s. There will be some flurries around too!

Last year’s parade saw the temperature around 35 degrees. The coldest parade was in 2017 when the high was only 17 degrees. The warmest parade was in 2012 when the mercury hit 68 degrees! Oh my! Oh well, whatever the weather, the parade is always a fun time in downtown Syracuse. Just bundle up and have a good time. I know I will!
