Music superstar and 10 time Grammy Award winning singer, Taylor Swift, turns 30 this year. Hard to believe since it seems like she has been making award winning music for so many years. In a recent edition of “Elle” magazine, Swift listed 30 things she had learned before she reached the age of 30. Below are some of the quotes she gave to the magazine:
•”Social media can be great, but it can also inundate your brain with images of what you aren’t, how you’re failing, or who is in a cooler locale than you are at any given moment.”
•”It’s good to mess up and learn from it and take risks. It’s especially good to do this in your twenties because we are searching.”
•On society’s messages that aging is bad: “These messages tell women that we aren’t allowed to age. It’s an impossible standard to meet.”
•”It’s my opinion that in cases of sexually assault, I believe the victim.” Swift won a sexual assault trial against radio host David Mueller in 2017.
•On keeping her fans safe: “There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe.”
