The Golisano Children’s Hospital at Upstate Medical University recently announced that it had found a new individual to run its pediatric department and oversee the hospital’s operations. Dr. Gregory P. Conners, associate chair of pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, will assume the position. He will start his employment on March 4, 2019.
Conners is a native of Pittsford, New York and received his medical degree from SUNY Stonybrook. He received his master’s degree in public health and business administration from the University of Rochester.
Conners was also a faculty member at the University of Rochester and George Washington University. He will replace interim chair of pediatrics, Dr. Anne Botash, who has been serving in that role since May, 2018, when Dr. Tom Welch, long-time pediatrics chair, retired. Good luck to Dr. Conners as he assume his new position for a hospital that is very important to the Central New York area!
