Ariana Grande To Drop New Song 'Imagine' Tomorrow: Details

Ariana Grande is hitting our eardrums with a new track this week.

Last night (December 11), the "Sweetener" star teased another track from her highly-anticipated fifth record, Thank U, Next, along with a conspicuous countdown for its release.

"想像," Grande wrote via Twitter before clarifying the Japanese symbols — which translate to "Imagine" — in another message formally announcing her next record: "'Imagine' thursday night."

The same characters appear in the announcement graphic the "Breathin" singer posted on her Instagram Stories, which features a close-up shot of the pop star's open mouth as a clock countdown dials in at 2 days, 7 hours and 3 minutes — signifying the song will drop on Thursday, December 13 at midnight EST.

"Imagine" will be the second single to spawn from Grande's new album, after her number-one smash "thank u, next," which debuted in early-November. The latter recently set the record as the most-watched video on YouTube within 24 hours of its visual debut.

Little has been revealed about "Imagine," save for a mysterious set of unreleased tweets, presumably written by the musician herself, which also detail Grande's Sweetener follow-up.

One particular message suggests her latest album "mourns failed yet important, beautiful relationships in [Grande's] life (as well as celebrates growth / exploring new independence)." As for "Imagine," it will apparently play as opposite "thank u, next": "I would say if 'thank u, next' = acceptance… 'imagine' = denial."
