After TMZ broke the story about Solange Knowles physically attacking her brother-in-law, Jay Z, we had to go straight to the site’s leader for the latest.

On Tuesday morning, none other than Harvey Levin called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to give us the most up-to-date details on the drama surrounding Beyonce‘s family.

“Its pretty crazy,” he explains of the elevator incident. “Solange walks in and she just kind of spins around and it is clear she is pissed. Something happened outside that elevator before they got in … She gets in his face immediately. This is an argument in progress. Within seconds, she just starts pummeling him and kicking and it is vicious. Jay Z never lays a hand on her … The most interesting part to me is Beyonce is standing there and she is doing nothing.”

So what does it mean that Bey didn’t defend her husband?

“Some people in my office are saying, ‘Look, she would naturally try and defend her husband against an attack unless she agreed with whatever Solange was pissed off at and that’s why she didn’t jump in.’”

Although one scenario could be because Beyonce knew there was a camera in the elevator, Harvey has another possibility.

“Whatever the fight was about, Jay Z was kind of on the defense and maybe Solange and Beyonce were aligned, and one the reasons Beyonce didn’t do anything is because she had at least agreed with what the beef was over, not the fight.”
