Rome police have charged a Utica man with second degree murder after a shooting back in March.

50 year old Charles Digristine was found shot multiple times inside his home on Lawrence Street on March 26th.

Four months later, Rome Police have arrested 24 year old Derrick Carter on murder charges, after he was indicted by a grand jury.

Carter was arraigned in Oneida County Court and is being held on the county jail.

Rome Police say they were assisted in their investigation by the District Attorney's Office, the Sheriffs Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
