It appears that billionaire Donald Trump will not be running for governor of New York this year.
Late Friday, Trump appeared to issue several messages on Twitter in which he pulled out of any potential race and also slammed the Republican Party in New York for their "dysfunction."
Here are the three tweets that Trump sent out:
"While I won't be running for Governor of New York State, a race I would have won, I have much bigger plans in mind, stay tuned, will happen."
"I have clearly stated that if the New York Republican Party is able to unify, I would run for governor and win. The can't unify, SAD! "
"The top leadership of the New York State Publican Party is totally dysfunctional, they haven't won a major election in many years."
With Trump appearing to bow out, that leaves just Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino in the race as the only announced Republican challenging Governor Cuomo this year.
