A Syracuse woman was robbed and beaten in an attack outside her Park Street home.

Syracuse police say the victim had left her vehicle after parking in her driveway when a black male approached her and demanded her money.  After telling the suspect she had none, the suspect showed her a revolver and forced her inside her home.  The victim unsuccessfully struggled with the suspect for control of the weapon, after which he struck her several times with the gun before fleeing with her purse. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as being in his early 20's, 5 feet 3 inches tall with a small build and wearing dark clothing.  Anyone with information about the attack should contact Syracuse police at 442-5222.
