The Syracuse Police Department is continuing to investigate a hit and run crash that seriously injured a six year old girl.

The incident occurred in the 900 block of Burnet Ave. at about 6:50 PM on June 15th.  A 6 year old female was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle that was headed westbound on Burnet Ave.  The vehicle left the scene of the crash and continued driving westbound on Burnet Ave.

 

The vehicle that struck the child is described as a white 4 door SUV type vehicle.  The vehicle appears to be a Saturn Vue with white NYS statue of liberty plates being operated by a female.  The vehicle may have minor damage to the front grill or driver side headlight area.  Anyone with information regarding the crash or suspect vehicle is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department Traffic Section at 442-5151.  All calls will be kept confidential.
