There's been so much snow this winter north of Syracuse, it appears that snowmobilers will still be able to navigate the trails on the Tug Hill right into April.

The Redfield Snowmobile Association says they still have a base of three feet on the ground, and with the continued cold weather, there's been very little melting and there are no bare spots on the miles of trails that wind thru the Tug Hill area.

Association Vice President Tom Jones says this has been a banner year for snowmobilers and he's still getting calls from out of towners wondering what the conditions are and whether they should come to town for the weekend.

Jones has lived in Redfield for years and say his hamlet has received a stunning 360 inches of snow this season and they haven't seen the bare gound since early December.

Jones says this winter weather this season also also been a boon for local restaurants, taverns and motels that cater mostly to the snowmobilers.
