One Liverpool man wants to warn folks about a scam that's making the rounds if you try and change your address.

Doug McConnell recently logged on to what he thought was the postal service website to change his address. He was then immediately sent to other sites where they asked for a boatload of personal information and later his credit card was charged for fees he didn't understand.

The Post Office doesn't charge anything to change your address and McConnell says he was even sent to a website where they claimed you had to register to vote before you can change your address and provide even more personal information.

McConnell says he done some research and has found that hundreds of others have become the victim of this scam- some even charged fees of up to 40 dollars on thier credit cards.
