Some tense moments for passeners aboard an American Eagle flight that was forced to make an emergency landing in Syracuse.

At about 4pm Tuesday afternoon, the pilot radioed the Syracuse tower to report a mechanical problem and he needed to land. The plane was reportedly leaking hydraulic fluid.

The flight was headed from Chicago to Watertown when it developed problems and emergency vehicles rolled out to await the plane's decent.

The pilot was able to land the plane safely and no one was hurt and the plane had to be towed from the runway as airport officials and and the airline itself begins an investigation into what happened.
