Oxygen patients served by The Franciscan Companies are breathing easier after Tuesday's storm and power outages.

Company officials say they implemented an emergency disaster plan to make sure their 1,500 patients who need oxygen are safe.  Typically, their oxygen units run on electricity, so employees are making sure patients have an adequate supply of oxygen tanks.  Delivery technicians are available to provide those patients with oxygen.  Officials say they routinely run disaster plan drills, so they are prepared to deal with these situations.  They say all their patients are safe.
