The Oswego County Sheriff's Department is looking for help to send underprivledged kids to a special summer camp at no charge to them or their families.

Each year, the New York State Sheriffs' Association raises money through honorary memberships in order to continue to offer their Sheriffs' Summer Camp at Keuka Lake in Yates County.  Over 800 kids who likely would not be able to travel or have a summer camp experience spend a week at the camp.  Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd says it gives them an opportunity to teach an understanding of and appreciation for our laws, and the men and women who enforce them.

Todd says those interested in donating can visit the Sheriffs' Association website at sheriffsinstitute.org.  They can also call his office at 315-349-3307 or toll-free at 1-800-582-7583.
