Police in Wayne County have provided more details in the double homicide of a mother and her daughter in Sodus.

Police have charged 32-year-old Dante Taylor with stabbing Terri and Stacey Moulton to death. Wayne County District Attorney Richard Healy says the two women were in the house to feed a cat for a friend, and believes they caught him stealing. Healy says Taylor stabbed them instantly, and then tried to set the house on fire.

In court Wednesday, Taylor reportedly said, "Let everyone know I'm innocent. Love my family, my kids." Taylor is currently on parole for attempted robbery and a drug charge. He's also accused of burglary of a second home in Sodus. He's currently being held without bail.
