Three months after her body was found on a rural road in Chenango County, the husband of a woman initially reported missing has now been charged with her murder.

Ganesh Ramsaran was charged today with second degree murder in the death of his 36 year old wife Jennifer. Ramsaren is being held on 150 thousand dollars bail.

Jennifer Ramsaran disappeared in December of last year and her husband told police that she was on her way to do some Christmas shopping at Destiny USA in Syracuse. Her husband initially reported her missing that day, and police now say that Jennifer Ramsaran was killed by her husband the same day.

That week, police found her cell phone on the side of the road, but it wasn't until February of this year that Ramsaran's body was discovered alongside a rural road in the Town Of Pharsalia.

Some forensic work has been ongoing since then and Ganesh Ramsaran was brought to the police station Friday where he was charged in the case.

Last year, police searched the Ramsaran home in Chenango County after Ganesh Ramsaran reported his wife missing in December.
