A diverse group of individuals and organizations will stage a "die-in" Friday afternoon in downtown Syracuse.

A spokesman for the protest says it will highlight the disproportionate suffering of the Palestinian people in the current conflict in Gaza.  They say the protesters also want to draw attention to what they refer to as the media bias toward Israel.

The protest will feature several children wearing white t-shirts with fake blood painted on them posing as Palestinian victims.  They will hold signs saying, "Nothing to see here, just another dead Palestinian child" and, "Stop killing kids like me."  Meanwhile, parents and other adults will hold signs and chant.

The event is scheduled for 2:30 pm in front of the federal building on Clinton Sreet, and is expected to attract a modest audience.
