Onondaga County Comptroller Bob Antonacci says his office is ready to complete an audit of the use and cost of take-home cars.

The county legislature voted to have an audit done of how many cars are being used, who is using them and what it is costing taxpayers.  Antonacci says some of the work of the audit has already been done, and now it's a matter of just compiling the data and putting it in a report form that the legislature can understand.

Antonacci says he doesn't expect it will be a lengthy process, especially since the legislature is requesting the cooperation of all county departments.  He says he's confident the audit can be completed within 90 days.
