Cayuga Community College's president and vice-president survived no-confidence votes brought by three of the college's unions, as the school struggles with financial difficulties.

President Dan Larson and Vice-President Diane Hutchinson were retained by the school board following an executive session where they considered claims that their financial management of the college was responsible for the school's budget shortfall. All four unions had agreed to close the gap with wage concessions and furloughs, but the faculty association changed their minds. The trustees said in a statement that they will seek other ways to close the budget gap, including, in their words, "right-sizing our staff."
