An Auburn man has been arrested after police say he robbed a woman confined to a wheelchair at the local soup kitchen.
38 year old Clyde Bennett the Third has been charged with felony burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
The victim reported that her wallet, apartment keys and cell phone had been taken from her wheelchair sometime after she was assisted down the stairs by individuals preparing for a dinner at the local soup kitchen.
Auburn Police say Bennett then used her keys to break into her apartment which was a short distance away. Surveillance images at the apartment building apparently captured Bennett entering the apartment.
City police are still looking for the victm's belongings in the case and anyone with information about that is being asked to contact Detective B. Bergenstock at 253- 3231.
